Sometimes you’re following a promise from your childhood for decades — until you hit a wall by learning life hasn’t kept it. And that the promise wasn’t intended as a real promise but rather as a phrase, a rhethorical element to calm you down in a moment of sadness or anger. When I reflect on the things I heard from my parents at an early age I’m pretty sure I unconsciously tried to manifest a few of them over the course of my existence so far, like: ‚You have this and that talent, the world is waiting for it…‘.
